7 Classic Movies To Watch This Fall

It’s no secret fall is my favorite season, and with the falling leaves and apple cider comes the desire to get cozy. I love to curl up on the couch with a good movie, something sweet and a big ole’ blanket with the sound of a warm fire (or candle) crackling.

Here are my favorite films that are perfect for chilly fall nights. So grab your blanket, press play and fall in love with autumn all over again.

1. When Harry Met Sally

Who: Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal

Quote: Harry: “I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

2. Remember the Titans

Who: Denzel Washington, Bill Patton, Hayden Panettiere, Ryan Gosling

Quote: Julius: “Attitude reflects leadership, Captain.”

3. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Who: The Peanuts gang

Quote: Linus: “You’ve heard of the fury of a woman scorned, haven’t you?”

Charlie Brown: “Yeah, I guess I have.”

Linus: “Well, that’s nothing compared to a woman who has been cheated out of tricks-or-treats.”

4. Practical Magic

Who: Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman

Quote: Aunt Jet Owens: “There’s a little witch in all of us.”

5. Hocus Pocus

Who: Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy

Quote: Winifred: “Oh look, another glorious morning. It makes me SICK!”

6. Sleepy Hollow

Who: Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci

Quote: Ichabod: “That’s the problem; He was dead to begin with.”

7. You’ve Got Mail

Who: Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan

Quote: Kathleen: “What will NY152 say today, I wonder. I turn on my computer. I wait impatiently as it connects. I go online, and my breath catches in my chest until I hear three little words: You’ve got mail. I hear nothing. Not even a sound on the streets of New York, just the beating of my own heart. I have mail. From you.”

Speaking of sweets, whip up a batch of these or these for your next binge-watching session.
