Ollie’s Nursery Reveal

November 29, 2018November 29, 2018by Katie Powell Bell1 Comment on Ollie’s Nursery Reveal
Ollie’s Nursery Reveal

I had heard from several second time mothers that my nesting instinct might go by the wayside this time around since I have a toddler to chase after and that was true, for a while. Once I hit the middle of my second trimester, however, I was in full blown nesting mode on the daily, [...]

How to Pay it Forward This Season

It's so easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of the season. Amidst the parties to attend and the traveling to and fro to see family and friends, it's easy to forget what the holidays are really about—expressing gratitude and spreading kindness. Doing this warms our hearts more than any gift under [...]

pregnancy update: 34 weeks

As of Saturday, I'm now 5-6 weeks from meeting our little guy and it's getting real real. We're in full-blown nesting mode over here and I am convinced my husband and parents are literal saints for everything they're doing - and all the ways they're putting up with me and my hormonal moments. Annie is [...]

the thing about my husband that used to drive me crazy

the thing about my husband that used to drive me crazy

I didn't notice it so much when we were dating or even during our engagement. It wasn't until we had been married a few months and that wedded bliss included some *gasp* real life moments where we didn't always agree on all the things. One of us would be upset about something, usually me and [...]

our thankful pumpkin: a new autumn tradition

our thankful pumpkin: a new autumn tradition

It's not secret I adore all things autumn - crunchy leaves, cooler temps, hot apple cider, and pumpkin everything, to name a few - and the crowning jewel is Thanksgiving. Sometimes we skip past this one for Christmas and while yes, Santa Claus is coming to town and I am PUMPED, there is something so [...]

• ELEVEN MONTHS • I’m not sure how our little santa baby could be any sweeter and I am in complete denial that he’s almost a full year old. God gives good gifts and we are so thankful for this healthy, happy little boy. ❤️🎅🏻
Annie: I want the new sparkly bwue snowflake Elsa dress from the new Fwwozen on Christmas night pwease. 🎅🏻Ollie: I want out of here. 🎄 Santa said they’re both on the nice list. ❤️
I had big plans for getting all the things done while the kids napped today but then this almost one year old fell asleep on me and I couldn’t bear to move him. I soaked it all in. Is there anything better than a baby napping on you with a Christmas tree twinkling beside you? I think not. ❤️🎄
Ollie’s first Thanksgiving and after trying Nana’s turkey, fresh cranberry salad and dressing, he worked it all off by spreading toys all over with his big sister. We have so much to be thankful for and today I’m especially thankful for a healthy family and homemade pumpkin pie. 🦃❤️🥧
Annie’s first school performance is in the books! We are so thankful for her sweet teachers and friends at Playschool and for programs like this one that made me happy cry a little into my coffee. 🦃❤️
she is pure magic 💙
I won’t always… •find tiny socks in my sheets every night I fall into bed •have an audience while I pee •reheat my coffee five times and still manage to drink it cold •be a human jungle gym, burp cloth and trash can •take lightning fast showers and hear phantom baby cries the whole time •have arms that ache from carrying around both babies •need to cancel plans with friends to snuggle with a sick baby •have to share everything I eat •be serenaded with “Let It Go” multiple times a day •schedule everything around nap times •nurse a baby back to sleep after a 3:30am wake up •have a house littered with toys and Puffs I won’t always be so needed by my two darling babies and I won’t always be their entire world so for now, I’m soaking in the good, the bad and the silly with the littles who have my whole heart. Always. ❤️
