Hi y’all. I’m a glass-half-full kind of gal who lives in yoga pants and is fueled by Jesus, coffee, and laughing until it hurts. I am wife to a handsome preacher & counselor and we’re working on our fifth year of marriage. I’m mom to my sweet Annie girl who yes, is a mini-me of her father and to Ollie who, so far, looks more like me. I am a book publicist for arguably the most fantastic PR firm well, ever and I’m learning to lean in to the whole working mama thing and run from any sort of mom guilt.
I started blogging in early 2010 as a way to document the adventures of navigating my 20s – career, dating, fun trips, friendship advice and random tales because I thought I knew all the things. Nine years + career highs, heartbreaks, growing pains, one wedding, two babies, several job changes and even more houses later I happily admit that I in fact do NOT know all the things. What I DO know is that God has called us to live an abundant life, so I chase the lovely in every moment.
My goal for this space is to brighten your day and make it lovelier. Whether it’s a post to help strengthen your faith, or how to navigate being a newlywed or young mama (rookie status), celebrating your friends or family (I adore a good party), or feeding your people with some yummy recipes I’ve tried and loved – I desperately want to help you find the lovely. The pretty. The sweet and the good stuff.
So welcome, friend – I’m glad you stopped by. Grab (another) cup of coffee and stay a while.
